You answer your own question. Were God, knowing exactly what to do to manipulate you into following him, to do that to you, would you have any other choice? No. Thus, a violation of free will. It's no different from *making* you do it.

You seem to want everything without giving anything back. By your various uses of "God should" and "I want" throughout this thread, you seem to want total separation from God, God to make you follow him, free will, and automatic remission of sin. What you want seems not only unreasonable but in conflict.

Anyway, I love it when people say "God should," given that He's already done way more than anyone else ever would. Would you allow your only begotten Son on a cross and punish him for the sins of those who put him there so that they themselves wouldn't have to?
