Attack on Vampire Island not very far

Hi folks, I feel like a total putz but I am stuck. I feel like I've tried everything, made a map, etc. My inventory:

Box of Matches
Digital Watch
Small Metal Key
Threatening Note
Crowbar
Rope
Sword

I killed the alligator and put Hyde to sleep and found the dungeon and climbed down the cliff and in short I am just sort of confused, not to mention wasting time trying the same options again and again. Any hints about where to go from here?
