Or hey, Once Upon a Shrek. (Shrek Upon a Time?)

I really, really hope they drive past an auto detailing place and there's a barely perceptible sign in front of it that says "WAX ON, WAX OFF".

"According to writer Michael Brandt, the adaptation will be more gritty in vein of Batman Begins, Die Hard, The Bourne Identity, and Casino Royale."

And for their next trick: zombies in 19th century England.

I guess they had to drop the "Avatar" part so it wouldn't be confused with a sequel J. Cameron's recent film.

I thought I could, but then I realized I had her confused with Blume, whom you mention next. (I was given a small set with "Tales of a Fifth-Grade Nothing", "Superfudge", "Otherwise Known as Sheila the Great", "Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret", and, I think, "Starring Sally J. Freedman as Herself". I've also checked out "The One in the Middle Is the Green Kangaroo" from the library.)
Looking over a list of her books, I most clearly (*rimshot*) remember Ralph S. Mouse, and then only as a live-action/stop-motion weekend special that ran in my youth on Saturday... afternoons, I think.

I have vague memories of it, mostly consisting of a song one character sings, which may or may not be the title song of a 1927 movie of the same name.

Maybe it'll make a revised non-sappy RomCom list.
