Tomorrow morning, Oct 22, my wife and I get on a plane and fly to China to adopt a 17-month old baby boy named LuQuan. It's our first child.

This is, like, the coolest and scariest thing ever.

So please say a prayer for us and for the poor little guy as we take him from his familiar surroundings and bring him to a country where the language and the faces are all wrong. I'm excited and nervous and already tired from all the preparations. I'm really glad that Christ gave us explicit instructions not to worry, 'cause otherwise I'd be spazzing out like a squirrel on amphetamines.
