Well, webby did leave a 2-point defensive hole on his strongest character and wasn't even using it on the initial strike... I might've done something like that were I down in gold and needed extra strength for one of my two initial attackers, but it seems like he was taking a risk there when he may not have needed to. He's gotten the triple-Power-Armor build down fairly well (although leaving a Ring Mail in during the Qualifying Round is just asking for a kamikaze strike to upset you, imho); unless you're up against an exceptionally crafty gambler (see daveymoo, #53), or happen to have a really bad luck streak in your first two or three opponents, it's a fairly 'safe' bet, especially once you get it to where you can keep your HP up and get all/most of the +1 Str additions.
I thought things might get more interesting if I stepped away from the game for a while, see if anyone else took over. Webby seems to have gotten the hang of it, mostly, so I decided to drop in last month to see if I could still take him, but he didn't play. Ah well.
