A girl I've been good friends with for about seven years has been trying to get us together for a girl's movie night for half of that time. She'd dragged me to see Epic Movie (which should have been my first red flag) and we'd both commented through that, but really, it's Epic Movie. It doesn't deserve the respect of a real movie.

About a month ago, we finally decided on a night that worked for both of us. She came and crashed at my house and brought Meet Joe Black. Okay, I thought, at least it's probably not as bad as Epic Movie. I can watch this.

I thought that for about the first five minutes. About ten minutes in, I'm wondering how on earth I'm going to survive the next two hours without losing my mind and violently murdering her.

She started saying the characters' lines BEFORE THEY DID. She also kept telling me, "Oh, this turns out to be important, because blah blah blah," "Oh, this is where he kisses her," "Oh, I'm going to give away other important plot points now." Finally, she said to me, "I've seen this movie a lot."

NO KIDDING.

Fortunately, she came over late and we had been doing other things prior to starting the movie, so she got sleepy about a half-hour in and shut it off. (No, that's fine, heaven forbid I watch a movie YOU'VE SEEN A MILLION TIMES without your endless chatter! I might ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON! *gasp*)

Since then, she's told me multiple times how much fun that night was and that we should get together again soon to do it again.

Mysteriously, I'm always busy on the nights she proposes.
