Canada is not the only country in North America with areas the don't always speak English. The southern part of Florida is largely Spanish-speaking, and there are pockets of French in Louisiana. Hawaii, not on the continent, but part of the U.S. has several languages. Most place names in Hawaii are in the native language. Visitors quickly learn words, like mahalo, kapoo, and aloha.
