I just wanted to point out something that might not be immediately obvious:
AGL's implementation of that separation also breaks down language barriers. I am not a native English speaker, and when i was younger command line driven games really got me stumped sometimes because I lacked the necessary vocabulary to input the command that was required. In an AGL game there is no chance I can get stuck that way.
Even if I don't immediately understand everything that is presented to me, a dictionary will help, while in a command line driven game i often have no idea what word to search for in that same dictionary.
