Not unless you specified that it was a CD by mistake.

You're really worked up about this. But is it really that big a deal? Some of the most secure servers on the Internet still truncate passwords to eight characters, even if you specify more. If this site gets cracked (and it hasn't been, for over 10 years), it won't be because of the password length.

Admittedly, it's no skin off my back to allow longer passwords...EXCEPT that I'd have to put work into tweaking and testing existing code. I'd rather spend that time on developing new RinkWorks content, and so would you.
