Not much on computer games

I guess you could say that I am not much on computer games, but I do run about 75% on spider solitare. Sometimes I play the vintage arcade machines in my son and grandson's collection, but I'm not real good at it. They have the old standup, cabinet machines with a TV picture tube and a slot for a quarter. They fix the electronic parts and restore the cabinets. They also hide an on/off switch so you don't need any quarters. Naturally, when they have a party, it is well attended. About a dozen machines are in working order at any given time

On a completely different subject; we went to Dollywood recently, as we often do in nice weather. They have more rides every year, but the shows are what attract my wife and I. We saw music and dancing from four different countries during their Festival of Nations. When that ends, we will go back for their regular shows at half a dozen different theatres. We like the Pines Theatre over in the 40's and 50's section of the park. The shows usually involve pony tails, poodle skirts, do-wap music and some classic rock and roll.

As usual, the food was excellent. The ancient water-powered clock/calender has been refurbished and is operating. I didn't get up to the carriage works, the blacksmith shop, or the steam train ride, but we have to save something for next time. I didn't see it yet, but I think there is a third roller coaster, new this year. And Dolly's Splash Country is good and wet.

It's more fun than computer games.
