1: Why do we drive on parkways and park in driveways?

2: Why are shipments put on cars/trucks, and cargo is put on ships?

3: Why are hotdog rolls sold in packages of six, and hot dogs sold in packages of eight?

4: Why do we yell "Heads up!" when we want someone to duck?

5: Why do some consumer products say "all-purpose" when they only serve one purpose? i.e. scotch tape, household cleaners...

6: Why are softballs called "soft"? (Obviously the inventor never got hit in the face by one.)

7: Why do people ask meaningless questions?
