One of my favorite internet sites is Google Earth. I was playing around with the altitude feature a couple of days ago and found that it is extremely accurate. You just put the cursur on a point and it gives you the distance above sea level. I ran it across my back yard and over a bank that I know is about two feet high. Google agreed that the bank was too feet high. I know that the elevation of the water in our local lake is 813 feet above sea level. Google agreed. If I was going on a hike, I could run the cursor along the trail and see where the steep places are. Are there no mysteries any more? Howard
