Just because it never hurts to plug something good, if you want to take a more direct route to fixing OCRed books, there's always the Project Gutenberg Distributed Proofreaders (www.pgdp.net) where you can work a page on a time on books that have been scanned in to check for OCR errors. When th books are completed (and they go through a lot of stages), they are posted on Project Gutenberg for the world to enjoy.
I'm rather fond of it because there's some very interesting books out there to proofread.
