You've hit the nail right on the head, Randy. This is why I, though I'm just as irritated by the flames as all our regulars, have chosen not to respond to the insults, even to defend Howard. Howard already knows that we love him and his posts, and I'm certain he's weathered this kind of unmerited abuse before and come out just fine.

Responding in kind to the attacker is exactly what he wants. The fastest way to get rid of him is to simply let his posts fall on deaf ears, so to speak, and remain silent. As Randy says, Sam will delete, ban, or otherwise deal with the garbage. Continued responses to this person will only add fuel to his flames.
