Are you sure it is night time? (check one of the stores in Lynville to see if it is closed). Did you buy Delhi some boots? Did you get into the fight in the Barn?

i got the message got attacked on the road and tied up in barn. i got hay escaped and feed the goat. i gave delhi his boots and the stores are closed. but it still says i think i have something to do.
i know it's some dumb thing i must be missing but i've been everywhere and still can't advance.
thank you for your help so far, if you can think of anything else i would be so happy i'm obsessed with finishing this game.
