I've mapped out the full floorplan of the mansion, and solved most puzzles, except for two that I'm stuck in: the chest in the southeast room on the middle floor, and the jewels in the northeast room on the bottom floor. (I already have the OTHER jewel, which may or may not be related, but making a trade doesn't seem to be working.)

Of course, given the sparse nature of the descriptions I can't be entirely certain I've done everything there is to do in the other rooms. I'm pretty sure I've found every item that's just lying on the floor, but using the metal detector in every room until I find something isn't my idea of fun. I also have three other items I have yet to find a use for.

My ability to try things out is hampered by the time limit, since every time it runs out I have to redo everything I've already figured out.
