Is that any closer to correct?
Bingo! Lenoir City is a small town that began as a steamboat landing (Lenoir's Landing) on the Tennessee River. When the railroad came through, it became Lenoir Station. Finally, in 1907, it became an incorperated city named Lenoir City. Steamboats and trains don't stop here much anymore. We don't even have bus service.
We live on a deadend street about 4 miles from town, surrounded by farms that are morphing into subdivisions. Howard
