#3 You get one of those Whitman's Samplers candy boxes that are full of different flavored and shaped candy. After experience, you know which ones to avoid and which ones you want to eat, so you attempt to match the size up to the pictures. You realize that the pictures are in black and white and there are two pieces that are the same shape, just a different color, and it just so happens that one of the choices is the worst flavor in the box. You then have to take a chance that the one you bite into isn't that one. Chance of getting the right candy: 10%.
> #2 You have a flat tire. You drag out the spare and the jack, get dirty putting the jack in place and get sweaty getting the car jacked up. Only then, do you realize that the lugs are on tight and you have to lower the jack until the tire is firmly on the ground before you can loosen them. Then you jack it up again and take off the flat tire. Then you find that your spare is flat. > > > #1: When your soda is just about gone, and you figure you'll just chug down the remainder in one gulp. You tip the soda can way back and only when it's too late do you realize that there was more left in the can than you thought. It's too late because your mouth is full and more liquid is pouring into it, but you can't tip forward and stop the flow without dumping out what's already in your mouth. Nor can you close your mouth to swallow without squeezing some out. Inevitably, you dribble soda everywhere, all over yourself and the floor, as you race for a sink or a trash can.
