Vampire Hall - Utterly lost

I'm trying to make a map, I really am. Unfortunately, these games aren't good at telling me just how *far* west, north, etc. I'm going. I'm trying to make a map, and the North's are confusing me near the castle:

That's what I've gotten mapped so far (I've been farther). Because of this, I can't figure out what to do. I've gotten into the Vampire Hall, but I can't do anything. What should I do next?
