A little post script here: I used Control L for a couple of hours, and then my grandson(19 next week) showed up. I told him about the "no address bar" problem. He put his hand on the mouse and before I could walk across the room, the address bar was back. I think I will still use Control L a lot, because some of the places I surf don't have an address bar, and others are things I don't want to close out. Howard
