Without my notebook I'm not entirely sure, but I think somewhere on the lawn there was a gardener with a spade. I think you should be able to get it now.

Once you've done that, consult the map of the maze. I believe there's a rather suspiciously hard-packed spot of earth near the birdhouse there...
