Fantasy Quest 1: Volcano Fortress

I've been in the fortress, found the fifth gold coin, left the fortress by destroying a tower and jumping from it, and gave the coin to the soothsayer to get a password (presumably to the one room in the fortress). Only one problem: I can't get back in. When I try to jump into the volcano I get the message:
Remember how the tower room collapsed? If you enter the fortress again, you might not be able to get out. Better make sure you have everything you need before you go in again.
I don't think I can open the drawbridge from the outside, so what do I need to do now?
