I was never able to do it in two steps. But Delhi tells you all you need to know - literally.

That is, he tells you NOT to go in a certain direction.

Go anywhere BUT that direction, and you will find something.

The bandits' hideout isn't going to be flashy or recognizable. Heck, a hole in the ground will suffice. (Hint, hint.)
