Ok, I've been told I need Delhi Shanks to guide me through the desert. By chance I asked about him to the Scottish woman who runs the boarding house---she says you can meet him at dinner. I know that time turns after 6-7 turns outside and stands still inside. But I've tried repeatedly to leave the boardinghouse immediately after a night's sleep and returning within 6 or 7 moves, which should make it evening, but there is no dinner happening. It took me a couple times before to time it just right to be at the dinner in order to return the button to the lady, but that was after 2 times trying. I've tried this at least 5 or 6 times. Is there something else I have to do that I'm missing? inventory is 28 dollars, hat pin, altar cloth, my gun, matches, feather,key, playing cards, cord, spitoon and map.
