But I've already been to the general store, still can't buy anything. I hit the "talk to the proprietor" button about a billion times. AND I've already woken the fat guy up...no dice. I don't want you to give me the answer, just suggest the next direction I should set off in.

It'll trigger an event to the north that might let you do other things. (I'm guessing this based on the fact that you have a beer, piano playing nets you $14 and you have $13. Which means the piano playing was the only income you've made in this game.)

I started keeping a notebook of maps and items for all the games I played to refer to when I kept screwing up hints. The only game I haven't beaten is the Compu-Maze optional game in Early Years, and I have yet to do all the possible teacher tasks in TOA. (i.e. Don't ask me about the rat.)

Thanks again...So you're in grad school--impressive. What are you studying? I just finished pharmacy tech school myself. Am looking around for a job in that, but it's hard to find a good place...a lot of retail drug stores want to start you out at seven dollars an hour. Rite Aid offered me 6.50 in fact--it was hard not to laugh on my way out the door. Since I live close to New York City I've been checking with hospitals there, but nothing yet. I'm currently collecting unemployment from my last job, which is why I have the time for games on the computer, ha ha. That's the reason you might see me posting for a hint at crazy times, like 8 in the morning or after midnight.

As for the other stuff--that's a lot of games! This is the only text game I've come across recently, other than that I just play the free video games on the Internet once in a while.
