You get two from a a crazy scientist who likes shinies, and two are on Akumos. Won't be more specific til you narrow it down 'cause I don't want this post deleted for spoilers. :)

If you want to further the plot, why not show that beetle to someone who's an expert on strange animals? He might provide some insight on their origin. (Yes, the escape sequence is annoying, but you need to go through it to beat the game.)
