That's more toward the end. Have you been to the castle in the garden? Have you given soothsayer four gold coins? You need three things to get into the garden castle. One comes from the soothsayer. One comes from Gnome( I don't see it in your inventory). The other thing comes from the tower( I see that item in your inventory).
Go for a boat ride and look around. Then visit the Gnome. Don't worry about the volcano just yet. You need something in the flower garden castle before you can go down the volcano.
