Fantasy Quest 1 - stuck (and tired)

I've given the coin to the soothsayer and nothing happened (thanks sonny!). I've found the note, visited the Sorceror but I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do next. Can't get into the tower, can't get past the troll bridge. What's up with the cat? Why can't I pick any flowers?

Confused... and tired. So, what am I trying to do now?
