But not just for the chili, I hope. We have lots of other stuff to offer. In the food department, we have American stuff like pizza, tacos, sushi, and egg rolls. OK, we borrowed those from other countries, but that's because Americans came from everywhere else.
America has wide open spaces like you never see in Europe. There are natural wonders that we haven't counted yet. We also have a variety of climates from the Everglades to the Grand Teton to Death Valley.
There are eye-popping scenes like Niagra Falls, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, and Great Salt Lake.
Some say you haven't seen a river until you have seen the Mississippi. I've seen it in Minnesota where it was so small you could jump across, and in Louisiana where it is so wide the other side looks hazy. Then it breaks up into distributaries before entering the Gulf of Mexico. They tell me it drains more than half of the continent.
America is heaven to people who like to drive. Once you get out of the congested areas of the northeast, there is a network of superhighways that takes you to the Overseas Highway to Key West, the snowy passes of the Rockies, and the deserts of the southwest. The Outer Banks of North Carolina offer one of the great drives of the world.
We are also rich in lakes an waterways.
Just don't expect to much in the way of public transportation. We worship our cars. Howard
