My family puts kidney beans (dark, light, mixed, whatever) in our chili. Beyond that it's the basic meat-sauce-peppers deal: whoever gets the pepper(s) gets a price (not to be revealed until 3am that morning).

The "only" way to serve it is over a baked potato, with cheese and such on top. Preferably outside, with a fire to keep you company... although indoors with a stove works too.
