Hey Sam, you'll know...

Is it true that in "The World is Not Enough," when Q was making his whole thing about how he was retiring and he made his final departure, that was actually just a composite of other scenes that Lewellen had done in past Bond movies?

I ask, because Q retires of course, and then a few months later, Lewellen dies. So, as I heard, the producers went back and drew scenes of Q from past movies, and put them together, giving Q the speech about retiring, in order to make his disappearance from the movies work.

Is that true?
