Well, hello everyone. It feels so long ago that I've chatted with any of you. Or worked on my game. Because it has been a long time.
Anyway, I have just gotten back from a great retreat. I had a lot of fun, met some cool people, got closer to God, that kind of stuff. But something really changed last weekend: I danced.
In my high school, guys never danced. Girls would dance. The odd guy would do it to be funny, but mostly we all sat down and talked, drank punch and watched the girls shake their groove thang. And waited for slow dances.
So, we had a dance party at this retreat. I was excited. I have never actually gone full-out dancing because I was scared of people's reactions. I found myself surrounded by people going all out, having the time of their lives and I realized: I'm not the only one who doesn't know how to dance. So I went crazy, worked up a sweat, and did the silliest dancing ever in my life. And I LOVED it.
I like to dance. I'm going to take a PE class next term to teach me how. We have a "mugger" (kegger, but with root beer in the kegs, mmm) this Friday for Halloween, and I can't wait.
It's amazing how God can change someone in such a short amount of time.
