I have yet to get my backpack or scare away the repairman. I have, though, virus'd the computers, burnt the papers, read the file, and taken care of all the other sub-quests. If Oorla's last sentence didn't tip you off, you're looking at the wrong one - since the one you should be looking at has only one pertinent display with anything to read. > > > > > > > > > > > > -Mandi aka Chaos > > > > > > > > > > I found the board to look at. The best I could do was to pull the cardinal direction initials out from the whole thing, but doing that didn't work. One set of initials -will- get a reaction after the counselor's text. THEN go read the board... your ingame character has to put two and two together before the sequence will work - no skipping ahead. > > > > FYI, I'd already read the file, then the board. Go reread the counselor's file AGAIN once or twice and ensure that something clicks for your character regarding one of them. Then go check the board again to make sure you've got the right sequence; once past the bats and moss, it should work. That's the only thing I can think of. > > -Mandi aka Chaos
You should only have to read the file once, and then go look at the board. The possible problem: you have too many directions. There are eight, and only eight moves to get through the second hand. S.P. should have made it clear which letters to use and which to ignore.
