1) I have just now checked the forum and have seen that you posted three times in a 16 minute period. I'd advise you to put away all forms of caffeine and sugar as they make these games EVEN MORE FRUSTRATING when you're stuck. (Personal experience talking here. You sound like you're in the state I was when first playing EFSM last winter.) :)

2) Don't press the red button. The machine with the red button is there to drive you CRAZY. Lucky you, there's another contraption in the lab. With something to put a cogwheel on. And turn a key in. Have you used that cog and key in the lab yet?

3) No. But if you get something working in the lab, you'll be glad you have it.

4) If you make something go BOOM elsewhere, search the house again. See if any walls are missing.
