I've never heard the "is is" thing either. Is this one for you native-English-speaking types only?
But I agree, I've also seen those "would of" and "you know" things, and they annoy me too. In Finnish also, a lot of people keep saying "niinku". It means "such as" or "like", but is used like that "you know" that you mentioned.
