Need a bit of help, I'm afraid...

Inventory:
Sack
Branch
Hammer and Nails
Fishing pole
Pass Ring
2 Carrots
Silver and Gold Keys
Bow and Arrow
Rope
Shovel
Ticket
Club
Purple Jewel
Leaves
Sunstone

I've gotten past the cat but not the orc, and I haven't figured out how to feed the gnome or light up the garage or the dark part of the cave, and I haven't managed to make it inside to any of the towers, fortresses, etc. Any help?
