getting used to it

Well, I am getting used to using a laptop. I like the wifi feature, and have found a wireless connection everywhere I have looked for one. I hope there will be something near my wife's mother's house where I have had to rough it w/o cable TV or internet access for years. Sometimes life is hard.
I worry about the ethics of using somebody's wireless connection without asking permission, but who knows were it comes from? Besides, there is a hotspot around my house, and maybe someone is using that. I really don't worry about somebody using my connection for some unsavory purpose. People like that don't go looking for hot spots way out in the country on a dead end road.
Do all laptops overheat your lap? The old prehistoric, non-internet, no battery lapdtop that I used to use to play games always did. This one never seems to get *that* hot, but I notice it.
This thing plays CD's and DVD. I can look at my own digital pics and then watch a movie. My mom, who has been gone since 1974, would have loved a computer, especially one like this.
I think I just made a sentimental comment. Could it be because this is my birthday? People get sentimental about birthdays, but I have had so many of them, I don't think it's that big of a deal. I really don't feel a day over 72, which is strange, because yesterday I *was* 72. Howard
