Funny?

Maybe funny, maybe not:
I get a kick out of the names they put on subdivisions these days. Like the one called "Lakeview" which has no lake to view. There are three small ponds that serve as catch basins in case of heavy rain. They always seem to have a small amount of muddy water in the bottom, so I guess someone believed they were lakes.
I was driving down a road near our daughter's home in Georgia this morning and saw a new subdivision being built. Over the summer, I have noticed that they bulldozed a forest, scraped off the topsoil, re-contoured the land and built roads. The name on the stone gate post? Forest Ridge Preserve. What did they preserve? Not the forest, not the soil, although they put some of it back for landscaping purposes, not the natural topography, and those bulldozers were not doing much to preserve air quality. I also wonder where the wild creatures went. Howard
So how can they call it a preserve
