I'm not a movie buff, but I noticed that blacks and hispanics were an important part of the ceremony.

I think the Academy is mainly in the business of promoting the movie industry and they do that very well.

As for Kid Rock, I think the main reason I like him is that built-in evil grin. If they bring him back next year I might stay up until 10 o'clock. I gave it up early because I had TV burnout from watching two long races in two days. But all of the good stuff was on the news today and I don't think I missed anything.
