If you need a big hint, silverfox posted a great tip that pretty much did it for me when I played the game:
"climb the tree and kick him too. When he's
on top of you stab him in the wings. It just takes time."
You have to injure him a lot until he will go down. Take note of what attacks deal damage to him.
