  As a diabetic, I guess I should quit reading this thread.  
  It's strange what you will do when you have to.  I always hated artifical sweeteners, but now I use them all the time.  I think they have been improved a lot.  We stock sugarless cookies and candy and no-sugar-added ice cream with sugarless chocolate topping.  I have Smuckers sugarless jelly every morning.  I love pancakes and waffles, which I get made fresh and  sugarless, and I eat them with fake butter and fake syrup. I swear I can't tell the difference.  I don't know why they can't add them to the menu at IHOP.  When I eat oatmeal it has blueberries sprinkled on top and really doesn't need any sweetener at all.  I never did like sugar in tea or coffee. Howard
