Giraffe Trouble

I am having trouble with this darn Giraffe. Instead of going north dumb me went west now I can't get tis Giraffe to lose interest. I have tried walking everywhere and going different places and when I come back he keeps charging me. I have the sap and everything but I can't get him to stop attacking me. I can't even get to the caverns because my only option is to head east out of the valley can someone helpme before I throw my keyboard through the screen.
