I think I got a real bargain on that scooter transmission a couple of weeks ago. I looked in a catalog and it was listed at $400, but I only paid $260. Shipping was $15 extra. Then I noticed that the catalog was five years old. Today I found the 2001 edition of that catalog and the price was up to $432. That was for a rebuilt transmission. The one I got was new old stock, presumably better.
Good deal, huh?
