I know what you mean. Although I haven't had a near-death experience, as such, (I'm still too young for too many of them) I have had a couple of nasty frights, when I walked into the road in front of a large van, for instance. The one when a car hit a dog and the dog hit me was pretty scary too. If anyone's particularly interested I'll go into more details. No-one? Gosh, what a surprise. Anyway, when things like that happen, it's pretty interesting to look at the middle of your chest and see your clothing actually vibrate with every heartbeat...
