Well, this particular discussion had no real structure to it... as I said, it started from very stupid circumstances, but a few of the people obviously had given it some thought. But they quickly gave up talking when the other, much more adamant people spoke louder than they did. :) (It was basically just something to get the teacher off topic even though it might have been interesting otherwise.)

I posed the question here simply because I thought it might get a little farther than we did in class.
