My scooter club meet was last week. We had a lot of fun. They have an auction as a fun raiser that keeps dues down. Members donate anything from a white elephant to scooter parts.

Last year I donated a surf rod. We don't have surf in Tennessee, so it was of no use to me. It brought $45 dollars. I decided then to top that, so this year, my wife and I took four items. They brought $59. I'm going to try to top that at the next meet.

Such an auction can be a very funny show. Many items are like the tacky glass figurine that I donated. It was good for $10. They auction funny hats, homemade cakes, pocket knives, mystery packages, and sometimes parts for scooters.

I also rode the two scooters that I took.
