One of the things I plan to do soon is to watch a space shuttle take off. It could be a rather expensive thing to do, because sometimes they don't take off when scheduled. I might wind up driving all the way to Florida, running up hotel bills, eating in touristy restaurants, and watching scrub after scrub. I think I will look for a block of time when there are several launches planned close together. For example a Titan, an Atlas, and a Shuttle all with-in a week. The law of averages might let me see one, and in the meantime, there is a beach.

I always wanted to see a Saturn 5 blast off, but that doesn't happen anymore.
