Troma films are invariably horrible beyond belief and generally appeal to only a weird few that would prefer to watch a bad movie than a good one. Sometimes I enjoy watching unintentionally bad movies, like Plan 9 From Outer Space, but when movies are bad intentionally -- and laden with gore and gruesomeness besides -- the attraction is gone. The fact that The Toxic Avenger is Troma's most notorious film doesn't make it any more accessible. Frankly, there are few movies I've found more excruciating to sit through.
