This film is goofy, that's for sure. It's part martial arts drama, part comedy of errors. The mix is uneasy, and a lot of the comedy falls flat, and yet the film works because of the convincing story and electric action. And there is one scene where the action and comedy mix nicely, in which two combatants must keep off the ground, so they leap about on the heads of the spectating crowd.

The movie stars Jet Li as Fong Sai-Yuk, a young man who, just for starters, finds himself engaged to a woman he thinks is someone else. There's a rebellion against the government, too, that he unwittingly has ties with. Good fun.
