After a fantastic double-bill of Jackie Chan and Michelle Yeoh, in Supercop, Michelle Yeoh returns alone in this spin-off sequel. (Supercop is actually the third installment in the Police Story series.) Jackie Chan is present in a...strange...cameo, but that's it.

I like Michelle Yeoh, and I wish that more of her films were more accessible in this country. However, I can't say that Supercop 2 is a particularly good vehicle for her. It's not personable enough. The story is too mechanical, and the action doesn't quite click. It's not bad, but it's certainly a disappointment after Supercop, one of my favorite Chan films.
